Key Product Notes
▍Vermicularizing Alloy
Compacted graphite iron combines the favorable properties of gray iron and ductile iron, balancing thermal conductivity and strength. It is widely used in exhaust manifolds, hydraulic parts, ingot molds and other castings. The addition rate and composition window of vermicularizing alloy are narrower than those of nodulizer. We can customize the Mg/RE ratio to your vermicularizing process (plunging / wire feeding) and base iron conditions, helping you consistently obtain compacted graphite iron with a compliant vermicularity rate.
▍Covering Agent
Used to cover the molten iron surface in ladles and transfer ladles, providing insulation, oxygen isolation and slag collection, and reducing magnesium fade and sulfur pick-up after nodularization treatment. Granular covering agent spreads well and does not crust over, making slag raking easy; it works even better together with deslagging agent.
▍Desulfurizing Agent
Suitable for base iron pretreatment in ductile iron production. High sulfur content consumes a large amount of magnesium in the nodulizer, leading to poor nodularization. Reducing base iron sulfur below 0.02% with a desulfurizing agent significantly lowers nodulizer consumption, stabilizes nodularization quality and reduces overall cost.
▍Chromite Sand
Chromite sand is processed from chromite ore. With high refractoriness (about 1800°C or more), high thermal conductivity and strong resistance to molten metal and slag erosion, it is a special sand commonly used for molding and core making of large cast steel and alloy steel parts. Used as facing sand it effectively prevents sand burn-on and ensures a smooth casting surface. We supply chromite sand in various grain sizes according to facing sand / core sand requirements.
