Samples & Technical Support
① Six-Step Sample Trial Process
| Step | Stage | Details | Time Reference |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Requirement communication | Describe the casting material, molding process, materials currently used and problems encountered (defect photos are helpful) | Same day |
| 2 | Condition confirmation and preliminary selection | Technicians verify the operating parameters and recommend grades, reference addition rates and expected results | 1 working day |
| 3 | Lab trial preparation (optional) | Small-batch trials using your raw sand and ratios, measuring absorption rate, strength, gas evolution and other key indicators | 1-3 working days |
| 4 | Sample dispatch | Packed to confirmed specifications and dispatched with a product technical data sheet and a trial casting record template | 24-48 hours after confirmation |
| 5 | Customer trial casting / trial pouring | Trial casting per the recommended ratios, recording addition rates, temperatures, strength or metallographic results | 3-7 days |
| 6 | Result comparison and grade confirmation | Compare trial data with the materials currently used to determine the mass-production ratio, packaging and supply plan | 1-3 days after trial casting |
② Operating Information to Provide
| Item | Details | Why It Is Needed |
|---|---|---|
| Casting material and grade | e.g. HT250, QT450-10, ZG230-450, ZGMn13, including main wall thickness | Determines the material system and addition rate range |
| Melting equipment | Medium-frequency furnace capacity (e.g. 1 ton), cupola tonnage | Affects carburizer particle size selection and addition method |
| Temperature parameters | Tapping temperature, nodularizing or inoculation treatment temperature | Determines whether absorption rate and nodularization can meet the target |
| Current ratios | Grades and addition rates of materials in use (e.g. carburizer 1.0%, nodulizer 1.3%) | Serves as the baseline for optimization comparison |
| Raw sand conditions | Mesh size, clay content, SiO2 content, grain shape | Affects resin addition rate and core strength |
| Molding process | Clay sand / resin no-bake sand / resin-coated sand shell cores / lost foam | Determines the matching material combination |
| Defect situation | Description of the phenomenon, photos, location and defect rate | Enables targeted material countermeasures |
| Output and rhythm | Monthly consumption, output per shift, delivery and payment terms | Matches stock preparation and logistics planning |
③ Technical Support We Provide
- ✓Free selection and ratio advice: recommended grades and addition rates based on material, furnace type and raw sand conditions, including seasonal adjustment schemes for winter / summer
- ✓Comparative lab trial casting: small-batch trials with your raw sand and ratios, measuring absorption rate, tensile strength, gas evolution and other indicators before confirming the grade
- ✓Defect diagnosis: investigation of material-side causes of gas porosity, sand burn-on, poor nodularization, chill and slag inclusion, with improvement proposals
- ✓On-site technical service: technicians can be arranged for on-site support during bulk material changeover or process adjustment
- ✓Batch inspection reports: measured values of key indicators for every batch, fully traceable for quality records
- ✓Packaging and logistics solutions: jumbo bag, pallet, full-truckload or LTL shipping designed around your unloading conditions to reduce double handling

⑥ FAQ
Q: Are samples charged for?
A: Samples of standard grades are provided free of charge with freight paid by us. Specially customized grades (such as specific Mg/Re content or special particle sizes) are charged at cost, which can be offset after volume cooperation.
Q: How long does trial casting take?
A: Comparative trial casting is normally completed within 3-7 days after the samples are received. We provide a trial casting record template so that data is recorded in a consistent format for horizontal comparison with the materials currently used.
Q: Can you supply in small quantities?
A: Yes. The minimum order for standard materials is 1 ton for the first order, and some packaging specifications start from 25 kg. After establishing long-term cooperation, rolling stock can be arranged according to monthly consumption to reduce on-site inventory pressure.
Q: Can you customize the composition to our conditions?
A: Yes. The Mg/Re content of the nodulizer, the particle size and sulfur content of the carburizer, the viscosity and curing speed of the resin, and the resin addition rate of the resin-coated sand can all be adjusted to your conditions. For customized grades we recommend sample verification first.
Q: Do you provide inspection reports?
A: An inspection report with measured values of key indicators is supplied with every batch. If third-party testing is required, we can assist with sample submission.
